Helena was born and raised in Ketchikan, AK. She has lived and travelled in a variety of states including: Washington, Hawaii and Colorado and also spent time in New Zealand. It was while working in Hawaii that Helena realized that Alaska is her true home.
She enjoys the expansive nature and going for runs through the forest with her dog. Helena is an avid organic gardener and gets excited about composting.
In 2009, Helena completed 650 hours of massage training at Port Townsend School of Massage Therapy. She was additionally the Outstanding Achievement Award recipient for her class. Areas of study include: physiology, anatomy, pathology, kinesiology, clinical and sports massage, Swedish massage, Healing Touch, hydrotherapy and deep tissue massage.
Helena specializes in Myofascial Release John F. Barns approach. She is a member of the American Massage Therapist Association. She has successfully passed the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork exam and is a wonderful member to have on our team.
