Dr. Petersen’s practice is focused around Applied Kinesiology (AK), the use of muscle testing as a diagnostic method. This approach integrates methods from all of the healing arts into a unified whole and allows them to be blended together in a way that best suits the individuals need for care. Dr. Petersen is a certified practitioner of AK with the International College of Applied Kinesiology and has an extensive knowledge and certification in a wide variety of gentle chiropractic techniques, including Activator, Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified and several others. The approach is one of speed force, so that trauma to the surrounding musculature is minimized.
Dr. Petersen is married and raised four daughters, Matalee (11), K’Leanne (9), Lilyrei (4) and Islanei (1), and one son, Jaxtin (5), with his wife Christie; who is a professional photographer. He enjoys martial arts and has taught Yoshinkai Aikido. Dr. Petersen also enjoys baseball, football, and rugby, lifting weights and outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. He has studied various languages and is fluent in several, including Samoan with a fair understanding of Tongan.
