Dr. Homacki

Dr. Laura Homacki, originally from Kutztown Pennsylvania, started her career at DeSales University where she majored in Biology. Upon completion of her degree she went on to obtain her diploma and license in massage therapy from Cortiva Institute in Pennsylvania. After working as a Chiropractic Assistant for a year she decided to pursue her Doctorate in Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Homacki also earned her Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition while attending New York Chiropractic College, as she is a firm believer in treating the whole patient and not just their pain.

Dr. Homacki started her journey in alternate medicine after spending 12 years as a Healthcare Specialist with the PA Army National Guard. It was here that she treated various injuries; and thought that more had to be done to prevent injuries and help soldiers recover after an injury, other than push medications. It was her time deployed and summers with various units that inspired her to do better for her fellow soldiers and pursue a career in chiropractic.

Dr. Homacki enjoys learning all about her patients and what they do for a job here in Dutch Harbor as well as their leisure time activities. She believes in treating the whole patient through chiropractic, myofascial release, trigger point therapy (NIMMO certified), and nutrition. She creates individualized treatment plans geared towards the patient’s goals and helps them achieve their goals through self-care exercises, chiropractic, and massage therapy.

In her free time Dr. Homacki enjoys spending time outside exploring the beautiful islands of Unalaska and Dutch Harbor with her two dogs.
