Thom was born in California and raised in several of the native villages throughout Alaska. He was an Army medic for 13 years and was pursuing more advanced medical training when a head injury that occurred during training in 2014 forced him to reevaluate and change his plans and goals for his future.
Thom graduated in 2015 from the Alaska Career College with honors in the massage therapy program and graduated from the Arizona School of Acupuncture for Oriental Medicine with honors and a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Before returning to Alaska, Thom worked with the University of Southern Arizona’s Football and Track programs as well as several Olympic athletes and professional sports teams. Upon returning to Alaska, Thom is currently focusing his efforts on massage helping the patients at Arctic achieve better health through self-care.
