Dr. Scott Folsom

Dr. Scott Folsom was born and raised in Amarillo, TX. He was a competitive gymnast in his youth and won 2 national titles in trampoline and double mini-trampoline. He is an Eagle Scout and speaks the Czech language fluently, having served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Czech Republic. Dr. Folsom married the love of his life, Katie, in 2006, and since then they have been blessed with 5 wonderful children–Eliott, Max, Julia, Luke, and Elizabeth. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, drawing, and practicing Tai Ji Quan. Dr. Folsom received a BS in Anatomy and a BS in Health and Wellness, as well as his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. While at Parker, he developed a fascination with the ability of the human body to heal itself. He is constantly refining his knowledge and techniques to provide the most advanced and effective care possible. He is a level 3 certified medical professional with the
Titleist Performance Institute and a certified Kinesiotape practitioner. He specializes in correcting functional movement and utilizes both SFMA and FCS screenings to identify and correct functional movement issues in his patients. Dr. Folsom also is a practitioner of fascial manipulation and combines this with his wealth of other knowledge to achieve optimal results for his patients. Following his education at Parker, Dr. Folsom worked at a high volume pain relief chiropractic clinic in Amarillo for two years before making the decision in 2013 to move to Alaska and join the Arctic Chiropractic team. Dr. Folsom loves to not only help people get out of pain quickly but also fix the underlying causes of pain and restore optimal function so people can get back to doing what they love to do, without pain. He is eager to be a part of your road to recovery.
