Dr. Stephen Donnellon

My name is Stephen Donnellon, I am a doctor of physical therapy with 27 years of experience in health care as a physical therapist. I graduated in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, prior to that I had obtained an associate’s degree in physical therapy assistant, and the same year I became a certified and licensed massage therapist. I hold two other degrees in unrelated fields. I graduated in 2021 with a doctorate of physical therapy degree with a postgraduate certificate and rehabilitation administration. Over the years I have taken hundreds of hours of continuing education courses in orthopedics, manual therapy, lymphatic drainage, and a variety of different exercises and peripheral nerve mobilization techniques. I’m also a certified 250-hour yoga teacher in which I graduated in 2000 18 in Asheville NC.

I love the mountains which is one of the reasons why I came to Alaska five years ago and began my career in Alaska in Fairbanks I have worked in various regions of Alaska. I enjoy exercise which includes yoga, hiking, camping, swimming, and scuba diving. I have 20 years of experience in the martial arts currently enjoys cardio boxing and recently have taken up swimming for cardiovascular endurance exercise. I have two wonderful children who live in Texas. My son is attending the university and is considering becoming a physical therapist and my daughter has been going to a U.S. specialty high school in which she’s been majoring in Health Sciences and is considering becoming my radiation technician. I love the outdoors and yet enjoy city entertainment such as theater, cultural vents, and museums. Have traveled throughout North America, Central America, and South America and I am pretty much fluent in Spanish. I’m certified in lifestyle medicine and working on becoming board certified in the near future. All in, it has been a pleasure working and knowing the people and the communities that I have served.
