Tammy

Tammy is a passionate massage therapist dedicated to supporting patient wellness at Arctic Chiropractic. She graduated from Alaska Career College in November 2024 with her massage therapy certification, specializing in Swedish massage and bringing a holistic approach informed by her 20 years in the medical field and 10 years in business administration.

Inspired by the chiropractor and massage therapists who aided her recovery from an injury, Tammy felt called to help others on their health and wellness journeys. She finds joy in applying her skills to support the chiropractor’s care plan, with a particular passion for helping patients achieve better range of motion, improved balance, and decreased pain, fostering an enhanced quality of life for mind, body, and emotions. Her prior medical experience provides unique insight into addressing muscle and fascia imbalances for comprehensive care.

Born and raised in central Alaska, Tammy proudly honors her Yupik, Alaska Native heritage from her mother’s Bristol Bay roots and her father’s Michigan family, who moved to Alaska in the 1950s. Growing up with a subsistence lifestyle of moose, salmon, gardening, and foraging, she brings a deep connection to the Alaskan community to her work.

Outside the clinic, Tammy enjoys hosting family dinners, tackling landscape and home improvement projects, creating arts and crafts, and adventuring through camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. A fun fact about Tammy is her love for preparing traditional Alaskan subsistence foods, which patients often connect with over shared stories of culture and community.
